My California Mural!

Summer 2016 I painted a California themed mural in my garage! I worked on it intermittently throughout the whole summer and finished almost the entire second wall in less than two weeks (with a big push in the last three days).

Here is the first side of the wall:IMG_0103.JPG

I started with the poppies and worked left first! Each part took days to get juuuuust right. Yosemite Falls alone took 4 days! 609E5E4E-C223-4E87-811C-5C24A859E8A1

I learned quite a lot in the process of doing this! One of the main lessons is that sometimes you can’t plan for how things are really gonna turn out, so you just have to roll with it!

I love the CA flag the most, I think! The avocado is also pretty fun 🙂

Sadly the Chandelier Tree fell a year later. I guess it will always stand in my garage hahha! 🙂

Of course it wouldn’t be California without a VW van!

It was hard to get a picture of the whole wall but here it is:

Of course there’s much more to the story than I am sharing here, so if you’re interested in how it was all really done, please reach out 🙂
